Declutter Bingo: A Fun Way to Tidy Without Losing the Will to Live
If you are anything like me, then decluttering can feel like a never-ending game, which ranges from why do I even have this? to I might need it one day (yes, it’s complete denial). However, what if we turned the whole thing into a game?
Enter: Declutter Bingo.

You might just find this new way to help you declutter both satisfying and strangely addictive. Plus, it might just help trick your brain into tidying with the usual sighs and soul-searching of why did I ever start this.
How to Play Declutter Bingo
Grab a cuppa (obviously), print out your bingo sheet or just write it down on some paper, and then… go wild! Each square is a mini declutter challenge, and every time you complete one, mark it off.
You can go for a line, a full house, or just pick at it bit by bit. No pressure. No perfection. Just progress.

Want to make your own? You should. Customising your bingo board with things you avoid (yes, that one cupboard, or drawer) gives it that personal challenge feel and helps you target areas you need to.

Why It Works
Declutter Bingo breaks down what feels like a big, scary task into tiny, doable bits. You get mini hits of dopamine, a growing sense of control, and eventually, an actual tidy space. Magic.
Plus, if you’re prone to overwhelm, this turns tidying into something approachable, rather than overwhelming.
Top Tips
- Set a timer: 10–15 minutes per round keeps things light.
- Add rewards: Completed a row? Treat yourself to a biscuit or 5 minutes scrolling TikTok. Hit a full house, then how about something bigger?
- Buddy up: Play with a friend and send progress photos (an accountability buddy really helps).
Final Thought:
You don’t have to tidy the whole house in a weekend. You just have to do one square. Then maybe another. Then over time, you will hit a whole line and finally a full house.
So why not make decluttering a little less dreadful and a lot more daft instead?
